DOMESTIC PERIODIC INSPECTION AND TESTING

A Domestic Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) is a practical & visual survey carried out on a domestic electrical installation. A report is produced detailing the overall condition of the electrical installation and whether it is deemed in a satisfactory condition for continued use. Following the EICR, we will provide you with a quotation for any remedial works that are recommended to rectify any faults found.

An EICR is carried out for the following reasons:
*To assess compliance with the latest electrical regulations
*On change of tenancy of the property
*After alterations or additions to the original installation
*Because of any significant change in the electrical loading of the installation
*Where there is reason to believe that damage may have been caused to the installation
An engineer will attend site and carry out a visual inspection and electrical test of the installation. This is done during normal working hours and will require the installation to be powered down in certain areas for the practical test to be carried out. For domestic properties the maximum period between EICRs is 10 years or on change of tenancy.
